About
me
My name is Junsuk Oh. I am a classically trained musician and have been teaching and performing for over 30 years.
Music is an important aspect of our lives. Playing the
piano and appreciating music is the greatest asset in anyone’s
life. I have worked with numerous students aged 3 to 70, ranging from amateurs to professionals. And I am grateful to have met all my students.
I would love to share my knowledge and passion with anyone who wishes to play the piano. It’s never too late to start learning!

Biography
A native of South Korea, Junsuk Oh started to play the piano at the age of 5. He immigrated to United States of America in 2002 and was admitted at the Juilliard Pre-College and studied with Frank Levy. He studied at the Manhattan School of Music with Zenon Fishbein for 7 years and received his Bachelor and Master of Music. He received Doctor of Musical Arts at University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music where he studied and served as assistant to famed pianist James Tocco upon full scholarship.
Junsuk has appeared as soloist performing Beethoven Piano Concerto No.3 in C minor, op.37 with West Chester Symphony Orchestra, Pennsylvania. He performed numerous solo recitals extensively throughout New York City in major venues including Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, Greenfield Hall, Paul Hall, and Yamaha Hall.
Junsuk participated Art of Piano festival, Cincinnati, OH (2012), Samuel Barber International Festival, West Chester, PA (2007), Prague International piano festival (2007) and Amati music festival in Catskill, New York (2006). With his special affinity for the romantic composer Frederic Chopin, he gave all Chopin program recital at World Financial Center in Manhattan for a bicentennial celebration of Chopin in 2010.
Junsuk has participated in numerous piano master classes by Richard Goode, Arie Vardi, Ian Hobson, Ann Schein, Nelita True, Volker Banfield, Bernard Ringeissen and Horacio Gutierrez. Junsuk studied chamber music with James Tocco, Lee Fiser, Laurie Smukler, Peter Winograd, Gerald Robbins.
Junsuk studied orchestral conducting at the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music as his cognate field with Aik Khai Pung.
Junsuk has taught previously at the Music Conservatory of Westchester (2018-2020), Fort Lee School of Music (2018-2020), Cincinnati School of Music, OH (2015-2018), New York Music School Tenafly, NJ (2013-2014).
Junsuk serves piano students in North Jersey and NYC metropolitan areas.
